Step 3 (Upper Battery Only): Prepare an audition piece, 20-40 seconds long, that demonstrates your skill ceiling while still playing with control. It can be any piece of music you want that isn’t previous POA show music, whether it’s an original lick or written by someone else (WGI, DCI, etc). Bring two copies of the sheet music to auditions so the staff can follow along as you play.
If you experience difficulty downloading, opening, or printing any of these files, contact us immediately! We can send you a hard copy if necessary, but the most important thing is that you have the entire Audition Packet to work with.
You will need the Audition Packet for auditions, Drum Camp, Band Camp, and throughout the entire season. Excuses that you couldn’t download or print will not be accepted.
